Visiting Dentist/Clinical Director
Tara is the Principal Dentist at Portway Dental Practice. She qualified from the Royal Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden in 2002.
She relocated to London soon after where she worked fulltime and started a family. She relocated to Somerset in 2014 and has lived and worked here since.
Tara is particularly interested in treating children and nervous patients and enjoys prevention, restorative work and smile makeovers.
In her free time, Tara loves cooking and baking, spending quality time with family and friends and practising Yoga.
Jessica joined the Practice as the new Practice Manager in October 2019 after 10 years working as a dental nurse. She previously trained as a sedation and implant nurse before deciding to take on new challenges and progress her career in a management role.
Jessica keeps a keen interest in the clinical side of dentistry and still nurses from time to time.
In her spare time, she enjoys keeping fit, hosting dinner parties for her family and friends and long walks in the countryside with her husband Tom and her Daschund Wilson.
Anna qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist at Bristol University in 2009 and she also holds a degree in Dental Technology.
Before joining us at the Manor, Anna lived in Toronto for two years and in New York for six months before relocating to Bath with her husband.
In Anna’s spare time she enjoys travelling, reading, knitting and is a qualified wine connoisseur.
Dr Jonathan Janson joined the Manor in November 2019. Jon qualified at the University of Bristol in 1997 and completed a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies in 2006. He has worked over 20 years in the region.
Jon offers a wide range of treatments within general dentistry as well as having a keen interest in cosmetic treatments, orthodontics and he has specific training in “composite artistry”.
In his spare time, Jon loves to spend time with his wife and two young daughters, especially going on family walks, is a football and rugby supporter, and is learning to play the guitar.
Debbee joined the practice in December 2019 with almost a decade of dental nursing experience after qualifying as dental nurse at Bristol Dental Hospital in 2011. Debbee works on reception and chairside assisting the dentist but has a keen interest in cosmetic and complex treatments.
In her spare time, Debbee enjoys all aspects of health and fitness and takes parts in regular spinning and circuit classes. She also takes part in annual fundraising for Women’s Aid Charity which is particularly close to her heart.
Lucy joined the practice initially in 2017 as a trainee dental nurse. She returned to the Manor in 2019 as a qualified dental nurse assisting chairside and works on reception. Lucy enjoys all aspects of dental nursing but is particularly interested in treating nervous patients.
In Lucy’s free time she likes to spend time with her family and her two Jack Russell’s. She enjoys eating out and trying new recipes at home.
Rachel is Manor’s longest serving dental nurse, she has worked at the practice for over 25 years.
Rachel qualified as a dental nurse in 1990 and she still has a passion for dental nursing and particularly looking after our patients.
In Rachel’s spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading novels and doing word puzzles.
